Blue Tiger's Eye is characterized by its deep blue color with subtle flashes of chatoyancy, a phenomenon where a band of light appears to move across the surface of the stone as it's viewed from different angles. This effect gives the stone a mesmerizing shimmer that resembles the eye of a feline predator, inspiring its name.

Blue is one of the three main colors of tigers eye. The other two are red and yellow. You can sometimes find all of the colors in a single stone, or individually. Blue Tigers Eye has a deep gray blue color with darker gray bands running through it, and the stone has an iridescent sheen.
